Q: How do you know if you are gay?

A: When I hear you say NO HOMO!!

Watch this first:

It is just so amazing to me that a guy would be so afraid of associating himself with anything that could cast a shadow of doubt on his sexuality, that he would qualify the most innocuous phases with a disclaimer.

Aside from the obvious homophobia implicit in a no homo, the main thing that phrase says to me is that the person using it is so ill at ease with himself and his place in the world, that he needs to constantly prove his heterosexuality.

You give me 2 words, I give you one: LAME!!!!!!!!

BEST SONG OF THE YEAR????

It's called SWEET DISPOSITION by THE TEMPER TRAP, an alternative rock quartet from Melbourne, Australia.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3b9E1p9uOA&feature=related

The band released their debut EP in 2006 in Australia, and two years later recorded their first album, Conditions with English veteran producer Jim Abbiss, who also helmed the debut albums by The Arctic Monkeys and Adele.

Conditions is one for the Coldplay set-- all tightly executed grandiosity and U2 pedals, generally with pounding drums, soaring vocals about commitment or mortality or whatever, one rumbling bass note per arpeggiated guitar chord, and a modest drizzling of synths.

Sweet Disposition is a majestic anthem which, if annoyingly derivative, had "mainstream hit" written all over it. Listeners who Shazam'd the original after hearing it in ads for Sky Sports TV in the UK-- or, stateside, on the trailer and soundtrack to alt-emo romcom (500) Days of Summer-- probably know the feeling.

Just picture the singer standing on a mountaintop his hair blowing in Bono's wind... Priceless!!
