The pop superstar will be bringing his 25 LIVE tour in the summer of 2008 in support of his new greatest hits record titled TWENTY FIVE (released in Europe in 2006). This will be Michael's first North American tour in 17 years.

Michael will perform material taken from the entire span of his career, including some classic Wham! tracks.
Dates for his show in New York City has been scheduled for Monday July 21st and Wednesday July 23rd in The Garden.

ARE WE GOING OR WHAT???

For this awesome occasion I present to you my:

TOP 10 ALL TIME FAVORITE WHAM/GEORGE MICHAEL'S SONGS

10.CARELESS WHISPER (With Wham!) 1985

9.TOO FUNKY 1992

8.A DIFFERENT CORNER 1986

7.WAKE ME UP BEFORE YOU GO-GO (With Wham!) 1984

6.EVERYTHING SHE WANTS (With Wham!) 1985

5.FAITH 1987

3.FREEDOM 90' 1991

2.SPINNING THE WHEEL 1996
The song that was knocked-off the top spot by The Spice Girls' "Wannabe" finds the character of this story waiting for his boyfriend in the early morning.
Playing with fire in a relationship has never been a good conception and it seems that George knows well...

And #1:

FASTLOVE 1996
This phenomenal tune, mix of jazz, funk and energetic pop is the best way to elevate your spirit if you find yourself single, bored and with no plans on a saturday night.

Has been my boy's night out anthem for more than a decade!!

GOD SAVE KING GEORGE!!!

MY PROUD GUILTY PLEASURE SONG FROM THE 80'S

While working on the selection and waiting for your picks to design the TOP 100 SONGS THAT DEFINE THE 80'S, I found this jewel in my music archives.

Trust me, I'm not even ashamed of my selection and I know for sure that this song won't be included in such important playlist (or any 80's popular music charts)

This song is from 1984 and it was included in the AGAINST ALL ODDS soundtrack and NO is not the Phil Collins title song.

The tune is called MY MALE CURIOSITY by KID CREOLE AND THE COCONUTS, a witty song that it failed in its intent to be consider the playa anthem of the 80's.

Kid Creole was the original PIMP, the pimp of the coconuts indeed. And you can see that on every single video that they release in the early 80's. Their lyrics are fun, their music a catchy big band jazz/caribbean style full of suave rhythms that puts you in a fiesta trance.

With his Cab Calloway-like fashion style, James Brown moves and Prince sensuality, the KID caught my attention with this tacky and ludicrous video. And is with this video that I found out that sometimes european women don't shave their armpits which was kind of disturbing for a peruvian MTV fanatic kid back in 1984 (Check the video when the girls make their first appearance).

But this hairy situation didn't stop me from falling in love with the dance moves of the female trio. I even remember practicing these peculiar moves with my sister...

Yeah... No wonder I ended up been a gay man. But what can I say? I feel proud of that and also proud of this my favorite guilty pleasure song of the 80's.

So here's to you Pimp!!

THE FEMALE BRITISH INVASION: THE NEW AMYS?

Well, I'm not a big fan of her music but after I hear that she was in the Oprah show with her manager, American Idol's Simon Cowell, it's a fact that she is becoming the new british superstar in America.

I won't be surprised if her radio hit "BLEEDING LOVE" (2007's best selling single in the UK) kicks out the Usher/Young Jeezy collabo from the number 1 position.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-ctIC65PV0

Remember last year when Josh Groban sold millions of his holiday album after his performance in Ms. Winfrey's show?

I'm just kind of dissapointed that amazing singers like Kate Nash and Adele are not getting that attention in the US.

Thanks god that we still can count on the talented and beautiful DUFFY who has the best selling single ("Mercy") and album ("Rockferry") right now in the other side of the atlantic.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KE2orthS3TQ

With her music, a retro-soul homage to the Phil Spector's Wall of Sound, she's supposed to be the new Amy Winehouse (minus the drugs) or a replacement Dusty Springfield.

Well I guess all these ladies have to be grateful to la Winehouse for bringing the british flava to these lands. Funny thing that all of them with the exception of Miss Duffy attended the same Brit School Fame Academy. Extra bonus points for Duffy!!!

One last thing... Apparently there's a new song by another british singer called Estelle that might keeps Duffy from the numero uno position. The songs that features rap lyrics by Kanye West is titled "AMERICAN BOY" and tells the story of a british girl having a thing for the american culture.

Funny!!

HAIL TO THE QUEEN!!! AND THE COUGAR...

This is just a little reminder for all you guys. Madonna and John Mellencamp will be inducted in the ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME.

The ex Material Girl and Now Kabbalah Mom will be performing her greatest songs (and maybe some of her new material to be release in April) tonight at this important ceremony that will be broadcasted at 8:30pm on VH1 Classic.

Everybody loves Madonna! Right?

Well, I have to admit that I can't picture this world without such an amazing artist.

I adore Madonna and it's not only the fact that she is a gay icon... Think about it...

For more than 25 years she has been part of our lives raising controversy, reinventing her act for the past 3 decades, making the dancefloor the place to be with every single song that she has released since the spring of 1982 when EVERYBODY became an instant hit in the NYC underground.

Here's an update of songs that you might consider upload to your ipod.
It's fresh an awesome music for this new season!!

Hope you like it...

A Punk - VAMPIRE WEEKEND

Columbia University students inspired by the formula of Paul Simon's GRACELAND. Catchy tune with an excellent well made low budget video.

Confused - THE HEAVY CIRCLES

Speaking of Mr. Simon here's the band formed by his son Harper and his wife Edie Brickel(Harper's step mom). Remember Edie Brickel and the New Bohemians from the 80's?

Her new project is called THE HEAVY CIRCLES and along with Harper and musical guest Sean Lennon (Son of John) this debut album is full beautiful and haunting melodies.

Les Artistes - SANTO GOLD

First time when I heard this song I thought it was a new single by Blondie. Santogold music is a mix of the M.I.A. formula with the femme attitude of Debbie Harry.

Crime Wave - CRYSTAL CASTLE

Innovative music by this canadian duo described as "the most exciting and original band in the world right now". The band took their name after the residence of princess She-Ra (??!)

Run - GNARLS BARKLEY

This song, included in their sophomore album "The Odd Couple", it's not "Crazy" but it doesn't dissapoint. What the f... is Justin Timberlake doing in their video?

Black & Gold - SAM SPARRO

The most played song in my IPOD!!!!
This aussie based in LA is a dynamic performer and ingenious songwriter-producer.
The song is a mix of 80's synth pop with a soulful velvet voice. Think Seal meets Gary Numan/Softcell.
