BEST OF EL OCHO: UNDER THE TOP 100

The TOP 100 SONGS OF 2008 are coming next.
These are the tunes that didn't make the cut (From #125 to #101)
125. TIE
Back Of The Van LADYHAWKE
Ladyhawke is noted as being influenced by 1980s music. The New Zealander could secretly be Kim Wilde’s daughter for all we know. Or maybe Patty Smyth from Scandal—remember her?
Scream TIMBALAND FT. KERI HILSON AND MICHELLE SCHERZINGER
Probably one of the sexiest lyrics of this year. Timba and the girls are so naughty! Makes me wanna spank them!!
Can I have of your cookies? Can I have some of your pie?
Listen to the last part of the album version of this song (starting at 3:58).
STEAMY HOT!!!!
124. Love Is A Losing Game AMY WINEHOUSE
Now that Blake is out of jail, We are expecting new material Miss!
123. One Day OPSHOP
Another New Zealand act that caught my attention during this year (They are doing great music over there!!). Beautiful song, sexy singer.
122. Clumsy FERGIE
121. Fools THE DODOS
120. Rise FLOBOTS
The day that Obama won the Presidential Election and while I was walking down Broadway Avenue to Union Square Park I experienced the most spectacular image of overjoyed people in the streets.
This song was playing in my iPod and somehow became the soundtrack of this important day in the history of our country.
RISE, TOGETHER WE RISE!!!
119. One Pure Thought HOT CHIP
118. Love Remains The Same GAVIN ROSSDALE
This song unexpectedly became the Gwen Stefani's spouse first top 40 hit in United States since 1995 when his former band Bush scored hits with "Comedown" and "Glycerine." It has since become more successful than Gavin's biggest hits in Bush from the mid 1990s and is now his most successful track.
117. Hollow Man R.E.M.
I still can't understand how I missed their NYC shows this year. Hopefully I will be Michael's server next time that he visits TABLA. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
116. Love Is Noise THE VERVE
Half Teletubby, Half Brit Pop , Love is Noise is the song that marked the big 2008 comeback to this great band from the 90s.
115. Love Is The End KEANE
By far the best song included in their 3rd production. The album is OK. There's nothing like the supreme Hopes and Fears.
114. Happiness GOLDFRAPP
113. Oh My God IDA MARIA
112.
Tree Hugger ANTSY PANTS AND KIMYA DAWSON (From "Juno")
111. Look No Further DIDO
Safe Trip Home, her first album in more than 5 years might be Dido's least adventurous to date, her brand of vanilla soul going down like a warm cup of milk. This song was release as a free download back in August. Ever since that day I felt in love with the haunting sound of this song.
Simply Lovely!
110. Graveyard Girl M83
109. The Way I Am INGRID MICHAELSON
108. Pork And Beans WEEZER
107. 5 Years Time NOAH AND THE WHALE
The perfect summer song of 2008, remember?
106. Balloons FOALS
105. Granite PENDULUM
These aussies are bringing Drum and Bass back!!
104. Strange Overtones DAVID BYRNE AND BRIAN ENO
One of so many great songs included in the album Everything That Happens Will Happen Today. This collection was released on August 18, 2008 it's the first collaboration between the two music geniuses since 1981's My Life in the Bush of Ghosts. Byrne and Eno worked on creating the album—a mix of electronic and Gospel music throughout 2007 and early 2008 over e-mail and have used word-of-mouth and Internet sales to market the music.
103. Heart of Chambers BEACH HOUSE
102. Courtship dating CRYSTAL CASTLES
The canadian duo music music is easily recognized by their heavy use of samples and distorted female vocals. Their musical style has been described as having "ferocious, asphyxiating sheets of warped two-dimensional Gameboy glitches and bruising drum bombast pierce [the] skull with sheer shrill force, burrowing deep into the brain like a fever".
101. Lollipop LIL' WAYNE
Album of the Year? Song of the Year? Really?
