And why I picked this song as the best of this first half of the year? Well, the innovative, chilly, watery, and jittery music video of this song helped me shake that weird mood that the awful cold winter brought to my existence.
The debut album of this band delivers an excellent collection of indie rock tunes with joyful, afro-pop-inspired melodies and rhythms. Think Paul Simon, Talking Heads and Peter Gabriel at their best. It is definitely my favorite album of this year so far.

Hey Jorge, it's Clarke from Tabla long ago.
I'm glad you picked A-punk as your #1 favorite. I went to college with the VW boys and am very excited about how popular they've gotten.
I'm even in their latest music video...at the very end for just a second in a crowd of girls.
Anyway, great list!
I miss you and your amazing taste in music.
